Gravel Goodness. Embrace the adventure.
We get it. All your mates have been bragging about their gravel-riding prowess lately. But you? You’re a pioneer. You’ve been crushing gravel since way back when, because you know it’s not about the podium - it’s about the journey. The new routes, the shared laughs, the unexpected challenges and yes… maybe a sneaky beverage to help those stories flow at the finish.
No matter where you are on your gravel cycling journey, we’ve got the perfect gravel route for you and your crew, over the rolling terrain of Victoria’s Goldfields:
Gravel Options:
40km, 80km, 120km or 160km Routes
Choose to wrestle the timed sectors on course to prove your pedigree, or show disdain for the clock and just enjoy the ride. Dirty Pig & Whistle might even be the perfect warm up ride for a tilt at Devils Cardigan or Seven. Ride your choice of course your way…your rules.
Grab your mates, saddle up and dive into the endless horizon plus falling leaves head on. Just two hours from Melbourne. This is gravelling, Dirty Pig & Whistle style.

Timed Sectors
While a majority of good folk ride the event as a great day out with friends and mates, all gravel events are timed. The ~40km Short course is simply timed from start to finish. While the ~160km, the ~120km and the ~80km courses offer two timed sectors, giving you a chance to stretch your legs and put yourself (and your mates) to the test. The times of the respective sectors are added together, giving you your total accumulated time. From there, we celebrate the podiums of the #DirtyPigandWhistle!
Put simply, the township of Clunes is a 5km Time-Out Zone; the riding before and after Clunes are your 2 sectors. So when in Clunes, take your time, refresh and enjoy all the town has to offer. All without any time penalty.*
